Privacy policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains what information Gummy Verdict (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit gummyverdict.com, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: you can read the whole site without telling us who you are, and we do not sell personal information.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to fix the site. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted on the host’s normal schedule.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked. It uses cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device type and referring site. We do not send Google your name or email address, and we do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information such as health details. Please do not email us your medical history.

Cookies

The site itself sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site works without cookies.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one you leave gummyverdict.com and land on the retailer’s site, which sets its own cookies and follows its own privacy policy. The retailer tells us that a sale happened and what our commission is. It does not tell us your name, address, email or payment details. See our affiliate disclosure.

How we use information

  • To run and secure the site.
  • To see which content is useful and improve it.
  • To reply to messages.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the site: our hosting company and Google (analytics). They process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and then deleted in the ordinary course.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with privacy laws, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain uses. We will not treat you differently for making a request. Email info@gummyverdict.com and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Visitors from outside the United States

The site is written for readers in the United States. Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

Children

This site is intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
