Editorial policy
These are the rules we write by.
Sources
Product facts come from the manufacturer’s own label or product page, with the date we checked. Research claims link to the study. Safety guidance links to a public health source such as the National Institutes of Health. If we cannot source a statement, we do not make it.
Claims
We describe dietary supplements in structure and function terms only. We do not say or imply that any product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents a disease. When a brand makes a benefit claim, we attribute it to the brand.
What we have and have not tested
Our reviews are label reviews. Unless a page says otherwise, we have not tasted the product or tested it in a lab. We never invent test results, ratings, awards, customer counts or testimonials.
Independence
We earn affiliate commissions from some of the brands we cover. Brands do not review, edit or approve our pages. A commission does not change a verdict or remove a “skip if” item.
Language
We write for adults who are not scientists. We give numbers with units, we avoid hype words, and we say when the evidence is weak.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we fix the page and update its date. For changes that affect a verdict, we add a note explaining what changed.
Audience
This site is for adults 18 and over. We do not write about supplements for children.
